Sole water for electrolytes

Sole water is my go-to electrolyte drink. It is made from specific pink Himalayan rock salt that is soaked in spring or filtered water to create a concentrated mineral supplement. I prefer it over the popular electrolytes drinks because it is free of natural flavors and fake sugars.

The benefits of Sole water:

  1. Sole water contains not only salt — sodium chloride, but an additional 86 minerals which support proper absorption of water and cell hydration.

  2. The nervous system relies on minerals for proper communication with all the systems of the body. Signs of low minerals are fatigue, constipation, headaches, joint pain, frequent urination, low blood pressure, depression and anxiety.

  3. Detoxification and elimination of waste materials from the body is dependent on a robust water supply in the body. Adequate water in the system allows the body to properly clean house.

How to make:

  1. Fill a 32 oz wide mouth mason jar with 5oz (about 1/3 of the mason jar) of Original Himalayan Crystal Stones

  2. Fill the jar with Eldorado Springs water or Crystal Geyser spring water

  3. Cover with a plastic lid (metal lids will rust) and allow to sit for 24 hours to allow the water to become fully saturated with salt and minerals from the crystal stones.

  4. The stones should always be visible in the jar - if almost dissolved, come pick up more salt stones and add more water to the jar as needed.

  5. The jar can be kept on the kitchen counter - no need to refrigerate.

How to use:

  1. Add 1 tsp of sole water to your water bottle or a glass of water each morning or more depending on the guidance of your doctor.

For my patients in Colorado, electrolytes are a basic essential for maintaining hydration in the dry conditions of our environment. You can purchase Sole rocks from my dispensary or through Fullscript.
